KK is the founder and CEO of Crowdy, a fintech platform launched in 2015 that focuses on enabling accessible direct financing for startups and small businesses in Korea. KK has held high-ranking positions at some of the world’s most prominent financial institutions.
He served as the Korea Country Head for both Bank of America Merrill Lynch and ANZ Bank, where he led strategic planning, Global Markets, Investment and Corporate Banking, and Client Relationship. Earlier, he spent five years with JP Morgan in both Hong Kong and Seoul, working across Investment Banking, Fixed Income & Derivatives Trading.
Throughout his career, KK has consistently operated at the intersection of traditional capital markets and financial innovation.
In addition to his entrepreneurial and innovative efforts, he is deeply involved in public policy and regulatory development. He has served as an advisor to multiple government and financial institutions, including roles as an external listing committee member at the Korea Exchange (KOSDAQ), a policy advisor for financial innovation to the City of Busan, and outside board member for JB Financial Group.
He is also active in shaping digital asset and blockchain through his involvement in the Busan Blockchain Regulatory and his advisory role at Korbit, one of Korea’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges while also actively advising 3 blockchain projects at the moment.
KKs academic background includes a BBA in Marketing and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
